Chapter
1
Once
upon a Tuesday, two kids were walking home. When they got home they saw a note
on the door. Everr’s 8, and really brave. May’s 7, and is really shy. Everr
quickly grabbed the note off the door and started reading it. The note read “Do
you wish you knew?” Everr started to tremble, “What is it? What is it?” May
shouted. “I-I-I can’t tell…” Everr quickly said, as she crumbled the note up in
her pocket. She could tell whose handwriting it was. May started trembling too,
“What is it?” May said. “Oh,” Everr said trying to hold in her fear “I think it’s
your mom telling us that she made us a snack, like always…” “Oh, ok.” May said.
So May opened the door, and ran up the stairs. Everr slowly walked up the
stairs knowing what would be there….
Chapter 2
Everr stopped in the
staircase, she knew what she was about to hear. “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!”
May screamed, as she saw her mom dead on the floor! There was a note taped to
the wall next to her. Everr ran up the stairs to act like she didn’t know what
happened. “Wha-what happened?” she said with a voice that was far from innocent.
“Someone killed my mom!!!” May screamed. “Oh, what’s the note say?” Everr asked
to change the subject. “Do you now know who I am?” May read in her head.
“What’s it say?” Everr said trying to look innocent. “Ummm, can I see that
other note?” May said. “Ummm, why do you
want it?” “Just ‘cause. Now give it to me!” “No it’s mine!” Everr yelled. (May
gasped) “It was you…”

3
“What’s me?” Everr asked.
“You-you did it! You did it!” May said not so sure of herself. “I DIDN’T DO IT,
MY DAD DID!” Everr yelled at the top of her lungs, before she realized what she
told. “I-I mean, I don’t know who did it…” “Oh sure you do, ‘cause I’d always
trusted what you’ve said ‘cause you’re Miss PERFECT!” May said, mocking. “I’m
not perfect, people fall down, you and me! I always thought we would
keep each other up! But I guess not!”
Everr screamed and ran out the door, crying for the first time. “I HATE YOU!!”
They both screamed at the top of their lungs! “I WISH YOU WERE NEVER BORN!” May
yelled as she put her head against the wall. The next day she woke up and everything
was back to normal, “Time to get up honey, don’t want to be late for the first
day of school!” Her mom called.
Chapter 4
“What!” May thought. “I
was just in a fight with my frie”—No she thought, “She’s not my friend! But
what happened?” She thought really hard… “Oh, I remember. We were fighting
‘cause---of something-UGH I don’t remember! Oh well, we were fighting then we
both said ‘I HATE YOU!’ then I yelled ‘I WISH YOU WERE NEVER BORN!’ …and that’s
all I remember… huh, weird”-“Honey, time to get up, its time for school!” Mom
called. May didn’t know what to do so, she got up, changed into school clothes.
She came out of her room, and started to eat breakfast. As she ate she thought,
“Maybe at school I should ask Everr if she knew what happened. I mean even
though we’re not friends anymore, I could act like her friend, get the info, and
then leave.” “Honey, what’s wrong?” mom asked. “Huh, what? Oh, I’m just
thinking.” (In my head) “I’m having the weirdest day…”

5
“Thanks
for dropping me off, mom!” May called. “Honey, aren’t you happy to be able to
play with Mary again?” mom said. “Mary?” May asked. “Yeah, your best friend
since the first grade.” Mom added. “Oh yeah, her…” May said before she hugged
her mom, and shut the door. May walked into the school, she didn’t know what to
do, but go and find Everr. She looked all over the school but still couldn’t
find her. *BRRIINNGG* “Oh that’s the bell, maybe I’ll see her in class, or ask
the teacher.” So May ran into class and sat down, but still no Everr. She went
to the teacher, before class started. She asked her if she knew where Everr
was, but she said, “There’s no Everr in this school. Is she a made up friend,
because you have no friends?” Miss Hamerstone walked over to May’s seat and the
desk next to her and said, “Here’s your seat and this is your made-up friend Everr’s.”

6
(Puts head on desk) “UGH I hate my teacher so much, I was
thinking about Everr a lot, that I forgot that my teacher is so mean! I wish
that Miss Hamerstone was so nice, that she let us eat in class and didn’t make
fun of us!” (Takes head off desk) (Miss Hamerstone walks over) “Hello, what’s
wrong? Does your head hurt? Please tell me what is wrong, so I can fix it.”
“Miss Hamerstone?” Asked May. “Yes dearest?” Miss Hamerstone asked. “What’s
wrong? Are going to make fun of me, or hurt me?” May’s questioned voice made
Miss Hamerstone laugh. “No of course not!” Miss Hamerstone sounded hurt. “Would
some chocolate cake from the party yesterday make you feel better May?” “Uhhhh-sure?” May said unsure. “Uhhhh can I
call my mom? I don’t feel good.” “Sure.” Said her teacher, then May got back
home, went to her bed and fell into a deep, deep sleep.

7
May woke up soaking wet, and constantly going up
and down when her mom shook her. “What, what?” May asked. “Oh, good you’re up,
it’s time for school!” Her mom said. “UGH why do I have to go to school today?”
May moaned. “Because it’s only your second day of school. Oh, and your teacher
complained that you said that she wanted to hurt you. Where did all of this nonsense
come from?” Mom said. “Just my head hurts a lot so I’m forgetting a lot of
stuff.” May called out. “Come on it’s bright and sunny today, perfect time to
get up and ready for school!” Mom told her. “UGH I wish it was a complete ‘n’
total blizzard today!” May said, when she put her head on her bed. Then she
lifted back up her head to talk to her mom, and then she realized her mom was
no longer in the room. It wasn’t bright or sun shiney any more… she turned on
her TV, and changed it to the News.
Chapter 7½
The
News screen was all White… (Something clicked in her head) She jumped out of
bed and looked out the window, it was a “complete ‘n’ total blizzard!” (In her
head) “What ver I wish comes true… Maybe----Oh! That’s why Everr doesn’t exist
any more---That’s why it’s a blizzard and why Miss Hamerstone is so nice lately!”
“Honey, its time for breakfast!” mom called. “Oh I remember why we were
fighting, her dad killed my mom!” May said out loud by accident. “What did you
just say young lady?” mom questioned. “Oh I was just kidding, thinking-----about
this show some kid was talking about…” May lied badly. “Oh…ok, come for
breakfast soon…” mom said slowly. ( in head) “Okay, here it goes… I wish that
every thing was back to normal.”

“Nothing happened!” May thought. “Honey get up now,
its time for breakfast!” yelled her mom. “Oh yeah, I keep forgetting! Sorry.”
May yelled back. “That’s ok, just come in within a minute, and I won’t start
without you, Honey!” May came out, gave her mom a hug, and started eating
breakfast. When she ate she began to think again. “I don’t know what happened,
I said it just like all of the other times, right?” “Honey, are you still
thinking?” “Yeah, I just have to process everything.” “Okay.” Mom said unsure.
(In Mays head) “If I wish every thing back to normal then mom would be dead, Everr’s
dad would still be killing random people, and (Sniff sniff) Everr will be back!
(Crying) I miss her so much! I wish Everr was back! (Hits head on table) (Cries
louder)

9
“Oh Honey, what’s wrong?” mom questioned. “Nothing,
why do you think something’s wrong?” “Oh, no reason… It’s just that your head
is in a bowl of cold milk and cereal, Honey.” Mom stated. “Oh, I didn’t
realize, but now I do and it’s cold!” (Runs and gets warm clothes on) (Shivers)
“Hurry and eat so Everr won’t be late when she comes to pick you up,” Mom said.
“Everr?” May questioned. “Yeah, Everr your best friend since the first grade.”
“Everr’s coming? YESSSS!!!! I DID IT! I DID IT!!!” May yelled at the top of her
lungs! “Uhhh what honey? What do you mean you did it?” Mom questioned. “And why
where you yelling it at the top of lungs?” Everr asked. “EVERR! I MISSED YOU SO
MUCH!” (hugs) (Everr whispers) “I remember every thing that happened, and I
miss you and hope you can forgive me.” “I do.” May said happily!

When
they got to school that day they realized they forgot to fix something… “Hey,
dearest, how are you doing? Do you want some cake?” Miss Hamerstone asked.
“Oh…oops!” May said “Oops?!? This is awesome! Oh! Don’t forget about my dad.”
Everr explained. ”Oh yeah, we will fix that later!” May laughed. And they lived happily Everr After!
